Call (832) 384-4420Request an estimateHardscaping covers everything outside your home that doesn't grow: concrete driveways, brick walkways, stone patios, retaining walls, and decorative borders. The cost to replace or install concrete hardscape depends on the square footage, the material you choose, the condition of the existing base, and whether we're working around obstacles like tree roots, drainage lines, or grade changes. Projects range from a single driveway slab to a full outdoor living footprint. PPB Roofs And Restoration handles it all in-house, fully insured, with a 10- to 25-year warranty depending on scope. Call (832) 386-9606 and we'll walk your property and give you a straight read on what the job actually involves.
Concrete repair and replacement cost per square foot shifts based on thickness, mix spec, reinforcement, and finish. A basic broom-finish driveway costs very differently from stamped concrete with color integral or an exposed aggregate patio. What drives cost up: poor soil conditions that need compaction or gravel base work, tight access that slows pour logistics, decorative finishes, and drainage corrections. What keeps cost down: straightforward rectangular pours on stable ground with standard finish. We design hardscapes before we price them, so you know exactly what you're getting. Every job is different -- contact PPB Roofs And Restoration for an accurate estimate.
What We Build
Hardscape Work We Handle
One crew, one call, for the full exterior footprint.
Concrete Driveways
New pours, full tear-out and replacement, or section repairs. We form, reinforce, pour, and finish. Expansion joints placed correctly so heat cycles don't crack the slab in year two.
Patios and Outdoor Living Slabs
Level, properly sloped patio slabs that drain away from the foundation. Works directly with our patio and outdoor living designs so the hardscape and the structure line up on day one.
Walkways and Paths
Concrete, brick, or paver walkways from the street to the door, or between outdoor structures. We set the base right so the surface doesn't settle unevenly after the first heavy rain.
Retaining Walls
Block or poured retaining walls for grade changes, garden beds, or driveway borders. Drainage is built into every wall we construct -- a wall without drainage is a wall that will fail.
Decorative Concrete Finishes
Stamped concrete, exposed aggregate, broom finish, or smooth trowel. We bring samples so you can see what the surface looks like before we pour anything.
Concrete Resurfacing
If the existing slab is structurally sound but cracked or faded, resurfacing is a legitimate repair option. We'll tell you honestly if the base is worth saving or if tear-out is the smarter call.
Our Process
How We Run a Hardscape Project
Property Walk and Design
We walk the site with you, check soil conditions, drainage slopes, and existing materials. You get a clear scope, a real design through our hardscape design tool, and no surprises at the pour.
Site Prep and Base Work
Demo, grading, and compaction happen before any form gets set. This is where cheap contractors cut corners and why slabs fail. We don't skip base prep to win a bid.
Pour, Finish, and Cure
Forms set, concrete poured to spec, finished to your chosen texture, and properly cured before you drive or walk on it. We clean the site and do a final walkthrough with you before we leave.
Straight Answers
What Drives Hardscape Costs Up or Down
- 01
Square footage and thickness
A 4-inch residential driveway slab costs less per square foot than a 6-inch commercial-grade pour. Bigger footprints cost more. Simple math -- but the base prep cost doesn't always scale the same way.
- 02
Existing material removal
If there's old concrete to break out and haul, that's real labor and disposal cost. The condition of what's underneath matters too -- soft or unstable soil adds compaction and base material.
- 03
Access and logistics
Tight side yards, low fences, or landscaping that needs protection all slow pour day down. Easy access to the pour location keeps the job moving and cost controlled.
- 04
Finish level and decorative work
Broom finish is standard. Stamped concrete, color integral, exposed aggregate, or sealer coats all add time and material cost. Worth it for high-visibility areas, not always for a back utility pad.
