Proper gutter installation isn't about the trough. It's about keeping water off your fascia, out of your soil, and away from your foundation during the kind of rainfall that hits this region multiple times a year. A correctly pitched, properly anchored system moves hundreds of gallons of water away from your home in a single storm. We fabricate seamless gutters on-site at your property so there are no pre-cut joints to separate, and every run is sized to match your actual roof drainage area. Not a standard box-store length. PPB Roofs And Restoration is fully insured, holds a 5-star rating across 54 Google reviews, and backs gutter installations with a 10-25 year warranty. Call (832) 386-9606 to schedule your free inspection.

Cost depends on linear footage, profile size (5-inch vs. 6-inch K-style is the most common choice in this climate), downspout count and placement, fascia condition, and whether existing gutters need to come down first. Homes with longer rooflines, steep pitches, or second-story runs will land toward the higher end. We don't list a price range here because a number without a site visit isn't a real estimate. It's a guess that can burn you later. Financing is available if you'd prefer to spread the cost. Every job is different, contact PPB Roofs And Restoration for an accurate estimate.

Why It Matters

What a Failed Gutter System Actually Costs You

Most foundation and fascia damage starts at the roofline: and it's preventable.

Gutters don't fail dramatically. They fail slowly: a sag here, a separated joint there, a downspout that drains too close to the footing. By the time you notice water staining on your fascia board or soft spots in the soil along your foundation, the damage has usually been building for two or three seasons. We've seen cases where a homeowner's water damage restoration bill far exceeded what a proper installation would have cost. Clogged or undersized gutters during a heavy rain event can also force water up under the first course of shingles, the same entry point that leads to deck rot and interior leaks. It's not a slow drip you'll notice right away. It compounds.

Our Process

How We Install a Gutter System From Measure to Finish

  1. Site Assessment and Measurement

We walk the full roofline, check fascia condition, confirm pitch direction, and calculate drainage load per run. We won't skip this step, sizing a gutter wrong means it overtops in a storm, which defeats the purpose entirely.

  2. On-Site Fabrication and Fit

Seamless gutters are formed at your property from a continuous coil. No joints except at corners and downspout outlets. That's the spec that eliminates the most common failure points in sectional systems sold at home improvement stores.

  3. Installation and Inspection

We set hangers at the correct spacing, slope each run toward the outlet, secure every downspout with appropriate standoffs, and verify the system drains completely before we leave. You get a walkthrough of what was installed and why.

What We Include in Every Gutter Installation

No partial installs. The full system or we'll tell you why a partial scope makes sense.

  1. 01

Seamless gutter runs formed to your exact roofline length

Cut on-site from a continuous coil. No pre-cut sections, no glued joints along the run.

  2. 02

Properly pitched installation for complete drainage

Each run slopes toward the downspout outlet at the correct grade so standing water doesn't pool and corrode the gutter floor.

  3. 03

Downspout placement sized for roof drainage load

Long runs and wide roof sections need more outlets. We calculate that before we hang a single bracket.

  4. 04

Hanger spacing appropriate for Texas wind loads

We don't space hangers at the minimum. The Houston area gets straight-line winds that will pull a lightly anchored gutter off the fascia fast.

Gutter Size, Profile, and Material: What to Know Before You Decide

A newly installed asphalt shingle roof on a two-story brick residential home in a suburban neighborhood.
Most homes in this area are served well by a 5-inch K-style aluminum gutter in a 26- or 28-gauge thickness. If you have a steep roof, wide eaves, or a large drainage area per outlet, we'll recommend stepping up to 6-inch. Aluminum doesn't rust, holds paint well, and handles the expansion and contraction that comes with extreme summer heat followed by a cold front. Steel is heavier and stronger but costs more to install and can rust at cut edges if not sealed correctly. We don't install vinyl gutters. They become brittle in prolonged UV exposure and they're simply not the right product for this climate. If you're also getting a new roof, we can coordinate timing so the gutters go on after the roof inspection and final walk-through, not before.

Common Gutter Questions From Fort Bend County Homeowners

Still have a question?

Ask the team directly. We pick up, and a straight answer costs nothing.

How much does gutter installation typically cost?
Cost is driven by linear footage, gutter profile (5-inch vs. 6-inch), downspout count, fascia condition, and whether old gutters need removal first. A small single-story home is a very different job from a large two-story with multiple roof valleys. We don't publish a range because a number without a site visit misleads more than it helps. Every job is different, contact PPB Roofs And Restoration for an accurate estimate.
How many downspouts does my home actually need?
The general rule is one downspout per 20-30 linear feet of gutter, but roof pitch, drainage area width, and local rainfall intensity all affect the right number. Undersizing downspouts is one of the most common installer mistakes, during a heavy rain event, a clogged or undersized outlet causes the gutter to overflow at the peak load, exactly when you need it working.
What's the difference between seamless and sectional gutters?
Sectional gutters are pre-cut lengths joined together with sealant and connectors. Every joint is a future leak point. Seamless gutters are formed in one continuous piece from coil stock, cut to your exact run length on-site. The only joints are at inside and outside corners and at downspout outlets. That's a significant reduction in the number of places the system can fail over time.
How many hanger brackets does a gutter run need?
Industry standard is one hanger per 24 inches of gutter. In a high-wind area, we install hangers every 16-18 inches, particularly on exposed elevations. Hangers that are spaced too far apart allow the gutter to flex under a water load, which eventually pulls the front edge down and causes the run to slope away from the fascia instead of toward the outlet.
Should new gutters go on before or after a roof replacement?
After. Always. Drip edge and the first course of shingles determine where water exits the roof deck, and gutters should be positioned to catch that drip edge discharge cleanly. If gutters go on before shingle work, there's a real chance the installation has to come down and re-hang after. We coordinate both when you're getting a full roof replacement with us.
Can tree debris affect how gutters are installed or maintained?
Yes. Properties with heavy tree coverage may need larger outlets, shorter runs between downspouts, or gutter protection systems to prevent accelerated clogging. We'll flag that during the site assessment. A gutter that fills with oak leaves after every storm isn't protecting anything. It's just directing overflow to the worst possible spot along your fascia line.
Does gutter pitch really matter that much?
Yes. A run that's level or sloped the wrong direction traps standing water at the low point. That water accelerates corrosion of the gutter floor, adds weight stress to hangers, and becomes a breeding environment for mosquitoes during a Texas summer. Correct pitch is roughly a quarter-inch of drop per 10 feet of run toward the outlet. It's not dramatic, but it has to be consistent.

  • PPB Roof and Restoration were excellent on my roof replacement. They were not high pressure, nor did they try to up-sell on products I didn’t need. Their prices were more than fair. The entire process was easy and very straightforward. They completed our entire roof in one day. David my project manager and AJ the owner were both very helpful and responsive. We are very happy with the results and strongly recommend the company.

  • Ayden Diaz and Prime Property Builders offered a complimentary inspection of my roof when they were doing some repairs in my neighborhood. They were nice and honest. They did not find much problem with my roof except normal wears and some nail holes. They came back the other day and caulked the holes for free to prevent possible leaking as heavy rains forecasted to come next day! I do appreciate their honest, consideration, and community spirit! I would do business with them in the future.

  • I was approached by several other roofing companies that did not help with my insurance claim. So, when AJ Diaz stopped by, it was difficult to believe that he would be different. However, he was very knowledgeable about the entire insurance process and about roofing products, so I let him start the process. I am very happy that I did. He walked me through every step of the process and kept me informed of where my claim stood and what I needed to do next. He was on-site during the insurance company inspection and helped me find an independent inspector when my claim went to arbitration. He was happy to take the time to answer all my many many questions. Once my claim was finally approved, he helped me select roofing products that were best for my house, had a good quality guarantee, and the color that I wanted. He was able to explain the difference in the products and how they were installed. So, I feel like I made an informed decision. I also had gutters replaced that made everything look so good with the new roof. See the pictures! AJ was also on-site during the installation and came back afterwards to make sure I was happy. I am so happy by the way everything turned out. I highly recommend him and his company.

Gutter Work Paired With Roofing and Outdoor Drainage

The whole exterior system works together: we cover more than just the gutter run.

A gutter system is one piece of a larger drainage picture. If your downspouts terminate too close to the foundation, or if your landscaping grades back toward the house, the best gutter installation in the world won't fully protect your slab. We'll flag those conditions when we see them. If you're planning a patio or outdoor living addition, surface drainage from that project needs to work with your gutter discharge. Not against it. And if a storm caused damage that's already made it inside, our water damage restoration team handles the interior side of that recovery. We're not just a gutter company. We're the contractor you call when the whole exterior system needs to be addressed.
