Prime Property Builders provides workmanship warranties on every installation we perform, in addition to any manufacturer warranties that apply to the materials used. Warranty terms, duration, and coverage specifics are defined in the written contract provided at the time of service. If you need a copy of your warranty documentation, we will provide it upon project completion or at any point upon request.

Workmanship Warranty

PPB warrants that installation work is performed in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards.

Our workmanship warranty covers the quality of installation, how materials are applied, fastened, flashed, and sealed. If a defect in our installation causes a problem during the warranty period, we come back and fix it. This applies to roof replacement, flat and membrane roofing, gutter installation, and every other service we perform. The specific duration of workmanship coverage is stated in your written contract. Materials

Manufacturer Warranties

The shingles, underlayment, and other materials installed on your roof carry their own separate manufacturer warranties.

Manufacturer warranties are issued by the material producer, not PPB, and their terms, durations, and claim procedures vary by product. Claims under manufacturer warranties must be submitted directly to the manufacturer unless your written contract specifies otherwise. Exclusions

What No Warranty Covers

Both workmanship and manufacturer warranties have standard exclusions. These are not unique to PPB: they are industry-standard carve-outs across every roofing contract.

Storm Damage

Wind, hail, and hurricane events are covered under homeowner's insurance, not a roofing warranty. PPB assists with storm damage claims from inspection through repair.

Acts of God

Events outside anyone's control, flooding, lightning strikes, fallen trees, fall outside workmanship and manufacturer warranty coverage.

Normal Wear and Tear

Roofing materials degrade over time under UV exposure and Texas heat. Gradual deterioration over a roof's expected lifespan is not a warranty defect.

Alterations by Third Parties

If anyone other than PPB modifies, repairs, or adds to the installed system after completion, warranty coverage on affected areas is voided.

Unrelated Structural Issues

Structural problems in the decking, rafters, or walls that existed before installation and are unrelated to installed materials fall outside scope.

Proof of Warranty & How to File

If something looks wrong with your roof, contact us before anyone else touches it.

Warranty documentation is provided upon project completion. If you need a replacement copy, contact us and we will retrieve it from your project file. For workmanship concerns, call us first. Most issues can be diagnosed over the phone and scheduled quickly. For manufacturer material claims, we will tell you exactly which product was installed and point you to the manufacturer's claim process.   • I was approached by several other roofing companies that did not help with my insurance claim. So, when AJ Diaz stopped by, it was difficult to believe that he would be different. However, he was very knowledgeable about the entire insurance process and about roofing products, so I let him start the process. I am very happy that I did. He walked me through every step of the process and kept me informed of where my claim stood and what I needed to do next. He was on-site during the insurance company inspection and helped me find an independent inspector when my claim went to arbitration. He was happy to take the time to answer all my many many questions. Once my claim was finally approved, he helped me select roofing products that were best for my house, had a good quality guarantee, and the color that I wanted. He was able to explain the difference in the products and how they were installed. So, I feel like I made an informed decision. How long does the workmanship warranty last?

If a storm damages my new roof, does the warranty cover repairs?
Storm damage is excluded from both workmanship and manufacturer warranties. It falls under your homeowner's insurance policy.
